Time sure does go by fast.  It’s hard to believe that it’s been 2 years since I’ve last blogged, but sometimes life gets busier than normal and it takes all that time to get back to where you need to be.

I’m still gardening as much as ever, just dropped the veggies mostly, except for a few tomatoes.  I still have plenty of herbs, though.   I’ve redesigned the garden to be more of a flower garden by focusing more on pollinator friendly plants and natives.  Natives do better up here on this rocky hill than the veggies did and I just got tired of forcing something to grow that didn’t want to.  The garden and this gardener are much happier now.  Not to mention the birds and bees!

Besides the garden, I took one of the years I’ve been gone and rebuilt the shed into my “sheshed”!  I love it.  It has made me a fine place to keep all of my gardening books along with the computer and my desk.  I have a nice, quiet place to write now.  It’s also has become a sleeping cabin for when my sisters, or brothers, come for a visit.  Took me longer than I thought it would, but it’s finally done.  I’m getting too old for this kind of project!  Will post pictures of it on another blog.

We got a new member of the family 2 years ago in August.  She wasn’t being treated well, to put it mildly, so a friend who lived next door to the owner, took control of the situation and called me and asked me if I wanted a dog.  Wellllll, not really right now.  She talked me into just meeting her and it was love at first sight for both of us!  Besides, her name was Annie.  How could I resist?  Here she is….

When we first got her, to the right, and how she looks now to the left.  She’s put on a few well needed pounds.  I actually did want another gardening buddy since Jed was getting so old.  She’s very protective and a barker but she keeps the varmints away!

Which leads me to a sadder note……  Lost my best buddy last November.  Mostly to old age…he was 17 and that’s pretty darn old for a dog.  Miss him every day, though.

Wasn’t he something?  So glad that I have Annie now.  It has helped.

I suppose I’ve rambled on with this blog long enough.  Just a little snapshot of the last 2 years.  Ready to get back to some normalcy and less projects!!!
